Life Christian Church’s Jr. Bible Quizzing team in Lansing, MI traveled last month to Branson, MO for the National Jr. Bible Quizzing Finals sponsored by UPCI Children’s Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International. After winning tournaments in Indianapolis, IN and Oak Creek, WI, they represented the Michigan District as Michigan 1. Lansing won their first six quizzes in the first round of the nationals finals, guaranteeing no less than a third-place finish. But in the second round of this double-elimination tournament, Lansing secured a victory in a thrilling fashion against South Texas 1, landing them in the championship round of the tournament. Lansing dominated in their final two games against Washington 1, the team that defeated them in the first round, to secure the title of “National Champions.”

Composed of 10-year-old Canaan, 9-year-old Judah, and 7-year-old Selah, this team memorized 259 verses from the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John from the end of 2024 until mid-2025. Bible Quizzing not only grounds them in spiritual truths from the Word of God, but it also teaches them teamwork, sportsmanship, memorization skills, knowledge retention skills, and much more. These well-round children preparing for the future to make incredible contributions as Michiganders.

The 2026 season is scheduled to begin soon, and we have great anticipation for the Jr. Bible Quizzing team in Lansing, MI due to all of our quizzers possessing at least two more years of eligibility.
